Levantina's immersive journey New Generation, featuring 30 monumental stone slabs, marks a new era for the brand, connecting textures, emotions, and architecture.
The immersive experience, showcasing the Techlam®, Naturamia®, and Marble collections, transforms Matadero into a material manifesto on design, the future, and new ways of perceiving stone.
Madrid, April 2, 2025 – Levantina, a leading company in natural and sintered surfaces for architecture and design, presents its new 2025 collection at Matadero Madrid with an unprecedented installation by architect Héctor Ruiz Velázquez, composed of 30 monumental slabs of natural stone. Designed as an immersive journey between columns of light and matter, this intervention marks a turning point in the brand’s visual and conceptual narrative.
Levantina’s New Generation gives its name to both the collection and the installation, displayed during a special event at the Central de Diseño – di_mad. The exhibit offers a sensory journey through noble materials, unique veining, and an architectural dialogue rich in symbolism. The selected pieces belong to Levantina's 2025 collection and its brands: Techlam®, Naturamia®, and Marble, reflecting Levantina’s new approach toward emotional, conscious, and multisensory architecture.
These collections are born from Levantina’s deep expertise in natural stone, mastery in material processing, and cutting-edge technology to create a versatile sintered stone collection. The combination of these three pillars has given rise to Levantina's New Generation: a proposal that blends beauty, innovation, and versatility in stone.
“This installation represents Levantina’s renewed essence: a company with more than 65 years of history that, while preserving its identity, has successfully projected the future of design with sustainable, cutting-edge, and highly inspiring materials,” explains José Manuel Herraiz, Chief Transformation Officer of Levantina Group. Fernando Soriano, CEO of Levantina Group, adds: “Today, Levantina is a global benchmark in natural and sintered stone, thanks to its continuous innovation, technological expertise, and a model that integrates everything from quarry operations worldwide to the final production of slabs and sintered stones.”
Héctor Ruiz Velázquez’s spatial concept for Levantina fuses the monumentality of stone with a poetic narrative of space. Through a forest of three-meter-high horizontal structures set against a black backdrop, the architect transforms stone into a sculptural language that plays with light, texture, and depth, reflecting the brand’s renewed stage.
“Working with stone slabs at this scale felt like building with fragments of nature. Each piece has its own identity, its silence, its story. It has been as much a physical as an emotional process,” says Héctor Ruiz Velázquez about shaping this site-specific installation.
Located in Matadero Madrid, an industrial space where architecture is exposed in its rawest form, the installation contrasts the site’s starkness with the idea of refinement and transformation. The ceramic and stone slabs not only beautify the space but also structure the visitor’s journey. Guided by the nature of the materials, visitors experience a sequence of compression and expansion, where the stone creates thresholds, passages, and openings that evoke a landscape sculpted by time.
More than just an exhibition, this installation is a sensory experience that reshapes the perception of space. Light, scale, and the arrangement of elements generate an immersive atmosphere where body and matter interact in motion. Here, tradition and innovation merge in a narrative that reinterprets stone not only as a material but as memory, emotion, and living architecture.
The installation marks the beginning of a new era for Levantina, where innovation and sustainability align with an emotional aesthetic that resonates with space. At the center of this transformation is Techlam®, the large-format sintered stone that redefines architectural versatility.
Thanks to the new factory inaugurated in 2024 in Nules (Castellón), Techlam® integrates high-value design, textures, and finishes, featuring innovations such as 3D Carvin, Shape, Silk, and polished surfaces that enhance its beauty, naturalness, and expressive potential.
Levantina pioneered sintered stone development in Spain in 2007 and today offers the most comprehensive range of thicknesses on the market, from 3mm to 20mm, making Techlam® suitable for any surface: cladding, furniture, kitchen and bathroom countertops, and much more.
Naturamia® represents the most direct connection to the Earth. Each marble, quartzite, or granite slab is unique and has been carefully selected to express the timeless beauty of natural stone. This collection features colors and veining reminiscent of mineral landscapes, ranging from understated elegance to bold expressiveness. With Naturamia®, Levantina reaffirms its leadership in the stone sector by combining tradition, technique, and creativity.
The exotic granites and quartzites, mainly processed in its Brazilian factory, stand out for their expressiveness and uniqueness. References such as Cristallos, Taj Mahal, and Amarula exemplify a collection designed to inspire, evoke emotions, and connect with the mineral essence of spaces.
Marbles and sandstones like Crema Marfil, Travertino, Niwala, Limestone, Mistral, and Marrón Emperador are part of the Levantina Marble collection, which enables the design of timeless spaces worldwide.
The recent expansion of its own marble quarries in Spain and granite quarries in Brazil has allowed Levantina to offer unprecedented stones, formats, and finishes, setting a new standard in the market. This total control of the value chain ensures the authenticity and quality of each piece.
Founded in 1959, Levantina Group is an international benchmark in the natural and sintered stone industry. With a presence in over 100 countries and a production model based on sustainability, innovation, and technical excellence, the company operates from its own quarries and manufacturing plants.
